In 2016 I met my now wife Valarie, Gemma our daughter was born last November. I have been with the Open Gates family of companies since January of 2013 where I worked in producer payroll, federal milk reporting, production inventory management, product ordering, IT, and now carrier logistics. In my spare time, I change diapers, practice the electric bass, minor woodworking, and play MMORPG’s. Once (or twice) a year I go to STL for a major gaming event where my team typically places top 3 for Overwatch tournaments.
Bryce
My name is Bryce McClain and I am new to the Open Gates and ARTI teams. I just started with the company in the beginning of March and I am a Logistics Coordinator. I am from a small town in New Jersey named Phillipsburg. I have been in Iowa and the Transportation Industry for a few years now. Fun fact about me I am a Former NFL, CFL and IFL (Indoor Football League) player. My NFL career lasted around 5 years playing for 3 teams; The Seahawks, The New York Jets and The Washington Redskins Practice squad. I had a brief Stint in the CFL for the Edmonton Eskimos and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. In the IFL I played for a few teams in North Carolina, Georgia, Colorado and Cedar Rapids, I am also a certified personal trainer and still very active in the gym. I am happy to be a part of this growing team and family.

I began working with Open Gates 5 years ago. I’m now the Fleet & Facility Manager where I schedule maintenace for the trucks and trailors, and to keep all company facilities are safe for employees and external visitors. I live in Hills with my wife, dog (Abby), and cat (Tomi). I’m a big Iowa Hawkeye fan and enjoy all sports.

I started with ARTI/AL in February 2017. Coming from a transportation background, I have utilized my knowledge and skills in the industry to help grow the brokerage and trucking companies with Open Gates Group. I have been married for 12 years and I have 2 boys ages 11 and 13. We just completed building a home near the Amana colonies and I am happy to be back in the area after spending almost two years in Oklahoma while my husband worked on a career change from trucking to becoming an airline pilot. In my spare time I enjoy painting and crafts, reading, baking, gardening and traveling.

I’ve been working for ARTI & AL for 6 years as the Managing Partner. I have a background in purchasing, logistics, and inventory control. I spend warm winter vacations with my mom. I’m a big Iowa Hawkeye fan and I enjoy cooking and eating out at local restaurants.
