Awesome Refrigerated Transit of Iowa (ARTI), a member of the Open Gates Group family of entrepreneurial companies and a federally-licensed motor carrier specializing in refrigerated transportation, has partnered with Fareway Stores, Inc. to deliver pallets of non-perishable goods to aid displaced Hurricane Harvey victims in the Dallas, Texas area. Over the past few weeks, Fareway customers have donated goods along with one of their vendors, Tone’s Spices. ARTI is transported these items to the North Texas Food Bank this week. The pallets contain a variety of items including diapers, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, food and more.

“One of our Open Gates Group Guiding Principles is to improve life in our community and we do that by sharing resources with those in need,” says Logistics Coordinator Erika Smith. “When presented with the opportunity to collaborate with Fareway and donate our transportation services, it simply made sense. We want to help in any way we can.”
