1. Class A CDL - OTR & Regional Drivers: Full-Time

Awesome Refrigerated Transit of Iowa (ARTI) is now hiring Class A CDL drivers! As a small company we value our OTR & Regional drivers. We know the value of drivers and what it takes to be successful on the road. Our team is here to keep your truck loaded and running the miles you need, while still getting the home time you crave. We are happy to keep you running as long as you want and pointing you home when you say the word!

Drivers Get:

2. Class A CDL - OTR & Regional Part-time Drivers

Awesome Refrigerated Transit of Iowa (ARTI) is currently offering part-time driving opportunities. We are seeking Class A CDL drivers to work 1-3 days/week on a flexible schedule.

Drivers Get:

  • Non-Hazardous freight
  • Flexible scheduling
  • High hourly rate for training and up to all legal daily hours of service

Driver Essentials:

  • Must be at least 25 years old and possess a valid CDL Class-A driver’s license. 
  • 2-years of driving experience with clean MVR & valid medical card.
  • A clear understanding of HOS regulations, experience with E-Logs preferred.
  • Tanker endorsement preferred.

Salary: $20/hour


3. Owner Operators

As a small company, we know the value of Owner Operators and what it takes to be successful on the road. Our team is here to keep your truck loaded and running the miles you need, while still getting the home time you crave. We are happy to keep you running as long as you want and pointing you home when you say the word!

We serve customers around the Midwest and beyond. As an owner operator, you have the opportunity to serve our customers and get help snagging some of the hottest freight on the market. We have excellent relationships with many brokerages and our dispatch team always aims to get the best rate on any load. Owner Operators are not force-dispatched so you get to choose where you go, when you get home and how hard you want to work.

Drivers Get:

  • Owner Operator makes 85% of Gross
  • Non-Hazardous freight
  • In-house and customer direct freight

4. Freight Logistics Coordinator

Our Freight Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing and developing customer and carrier relationships by supporting new and existing clients, coordinating deliveries and negotiating rates with carriers. This position coordinates the movement of goods and serves as the primary point of contact for any issue that may occur with the load.  The Freight Logistics Coordinator oversees truckload coverage, account management, troubleshooting, and all dispatch functions.  This position requires being available by phone some evenings and/or weekends on a rotating shift.  

Typical shift hours will be Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. Occasional weekend work as required. 

What you will do:

  • Schedule loads while ensuring compliance of Federal, State and location regulations.
  • Dispatch drivers based on customer needs and HOS limitations.
  • Build relationships with carriers by soliciting capacity of truck and freight, meeting cost/revenue expectations for each customer.
  • Create loads, set appointments for broker freight, track and trace loads and troubleshoot problems that may occur.
  • Solicit new and existing customers for freight.
  • Use Load Boards to find backhauls.
  • Source carriers, negotiate rates and sell freight to carriers.
  • Track shipments and provide updates to the customers daily.
  • Generate business leads.
  • Participate in scheduling trucks each week.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

What you will need:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 2 years of warehouse experience desired.
  • Forklift experience strongly desired. 
  • Legible handwriting. 
  • Strong attention to detail. 
  • Basic math and reasoning skills.
  • Computer skills and knowledge of Google/Quickbooks/Smartphone use
  • Ability to obtain a Class A CDL license preferred.  
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs repetitively and stand for 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to perform work in cold temperatures (ie: a cooler) for several hours per day.
  • Good attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible and willing to learn and grow in the role.
  • High level of integrity and alignment with our mission, vision, values & operating principles. 
  • Willingness to continually embrace personal and professional development.

5. Warehouse Team Member

Our Warehouse Team Member is responsible for performing physical tasks in the materials management function including picking orders, shipping and receiving, inventory control, and delivery of materials.  

Typical shift hours will be Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. Occasional weekend work as required. 

What you will do: 

  • Pick orders for external and internal customers.
  • Update inventory control system.
  • Participate in physical inventory.
  • Maintain accurate records of work procedures as directed.
  • Load and unload trucks as directed.
  • Receive materials in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a safe warehouse environment.
  • Perform routine cleaning duties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you will need:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 2 years of warehouse experience desired.
